University of Limerick (Ollscoil Luimnigh) is a university in the Irish city of Limerick, founded in 1972. Currently, the university enrolls about 17,000 students studying at four faculties. The university is located along the banks of the River Shannon in an area of 80 hectares, 5 km from the center of Limerick.
