TU Dresden (Technische Universität Dresden) is one of the oldest technical institutions of higher education in Germany. Dresden Technical University consists of 14 faculties located on campus south of the city centre.
The university is constantly ranked among the best engineering and technical universities in the world, usually ranking among the 100 best universities in the world. The most prominent area is civil engineering.
