Poznan University of Technology (Politechnika Poznanska) consists of 10 faculties, which provide students with a choice in 27 areas. More than 20,000 students and doctoral students study here. The university has more than 1,200 teaching staff. PUT was one of the first Polish higher education institutions to become a member of CESAER (Conference of European Schools of Advanced Engineering Education and Research), a European organisation that brings together the best technical schools. The University is also a member of SEFI (European Society for Engineering Education), EUA (European University Association), ADUEM (University Alliance for Democracy) and IAU (International University Association).
