Norwegian University of Life Sciences (Norges miljø- og biovitenskapelige universitet) was founded in 1859 and until 2005 was known as the Norwegian College of Agriculture. The university is the second oldest higher education institution in Norway. It is located in the picturesque suburb of Oslo – the town of Os. Currently, the University has about 5,000 students, it includes three faculties with 13 departments.

The Norwegian University of Life Sciences research and education programmes enable students from around the world to challenge global issues related to environmental protection, human and animal health, renewable energy, the food industry, and land management.
